Robert Juliat Aledin Receives a Positive Response at Frankfurt’s Prolight & Sound

Robert Juliat showed the prototype of its LED profile, the Aledin for the first time at Frankfurt’s Prolight & Sound. The RJ Aledin LED profile is the first product of its type to achieve significant output AND superlative framing and projection ability from an extremely low-powered LED lightsource.

The result has stirred great excitement within the corporate and event markets for a number of reasons: the Aledin’s low power consumption (85W) enables up to 30 units to be run off one domestic power outlet making it especially valuable for venues where power availability is limited; the famed Robert Juliat optics give crystal clear gobo projection (even for plastic gobos) and shutter cuts; the Aledin will be available with a choice of two colour temperatures (3200K or 5800K) which it maintains during fading.

In addition, the two colour temperature options mean the Aledin is equally at home in a theatre or opera house where it can be adapted to blend in with the general lighting rig, be it tungsten or discharge.

Despite the growing number of moving head LED fixtures on the market, the Robert Juliat Aledin is the only LED profile fixture with such a high light output. It offers high quality zoom optics combined with all the optical and operational excellence of a Robert Juliat fixture.

Aledin will be available in three zoom options; alternatively, any Robert Juliat 600 Series profile can be converted simply by changing the existing lamp base to the new LED lightsource base. This makes Aledin a fast and cost effective upgrade for rental houses and venues which already own RJ 600 Series fixtures.

“Prolight & Sound was a great show for Robert Juliat,” says Sales Director Lionel Garraud. “We were very happy with the reactions and feedback we received regarding the AledIN. Just as at JTSE and LDI, the impression was very positive. Response to the prototype has convinced us that there is a very ready market for the product when we put it into production later this year.”

The Robert Juliat Aledin is due for release in Summer 2010.
