Quotidien, the French show with the good lighting:
Robert Juliat Sully LED profiles integrated into the lighting rig
The French evening TV show Quotidien, recently nicknamed “The French show with the good lighting,” has gained international appeal thanks to its studio lighting, which is particularly flattering for all the guests interviewed by Yann Barthès and his team of journalists. The lighting alchemy designed by Frédéric Dorieux, the show's director of photography, works its magic and fascinates social media, artists, and the French and global press.
To showcase the guests around the table, the infotainment talk show, broadcast every weeknight on TMC, relies on a lighting kit that includes a large number of Robert Juliat Sully profile spotlights, in addition to other equipment. These 115W LED profile spotlights, installed in cool white versions, provide precise and uniform front lighting, perfectly suited to the demands of television production.
The Robert Juliat Sully range delivers a high CRI of 96 (TM-30 Rf=92 Rg=98 / TLCI 97), offering high-quality daylight rendering and a light output exceeding that of 1kW tungsten luminaires equipped with CTB filters.
Dushow TV, based in Roissy-en-France near Paris, has been the technical service provider for the talk show since its beginnings. The company works closely with Bangumi, the audiovisual production company behind Quotidien and numerous television programmes and documentaries. When Bangumi decided to upgrade the lighting rig to a 100% LED system, Dushow TV supported the transition, notably by replacing the existing Robert Juliat tungsten profile fixtures with Sully LED profiles, perfectly adapted to the needs and visual identity of the show.
What could be more natural for a French talk show known for its “good lighting” than to rely on high-quality lighting fixtures designed and manufactured in France? Together, they help shine a spotlight on French culture and expertise around the world.
